The trial of Chi-Ji is a test of hope. Uncertain of the future of his people, Emperor Shaohao sought out the great Red Crane. The Great Crane challenged Shaohao to find the hope within himself, and cast off his uncertainty. Once the Sha of Doubt was vanquished, the Emperor became a beacon of hope for his people. To pass the trial of the Crane, warriors must believe in hope, even in the darkest of days.
The trial of Yu'lon is a test of wisdom and faith. With omens of a bleak future floating through his mind, Emperor Shaohao climbed to the summit of Mount Neverest to seek the council of the Jade Serpent. Yu'lon urged Shaohao to cast off the dark emotions that plagued him, and through his trials, Emperor Shaohao would become one with the land. To pass the trial of the Serpent, warriors must be wise in their choices.
The trial of Niuzao is a test of bravery and fortitude. When Emperor Shaohao was overcome with fear, the Black Ox counseled him to face his fears directly. After a protracted battle with the Sha of Fear, the Emperor emerged victorious. To pass the trial of the Ox, warriors must be resolute in the face of overwhelming danger.
The trial of Xuen is simultaneously a test of strength and a test of restraint. When Xuen gave Emperor Shaohao a 10-foot-pole and asked him to strike one of Xuen's warriors, the Emperor could not land a blow. For without restraint, anger and hatred run wild. To pass the trial of the Tiger, warriors must harness their power, while burying their thoughts of violence.
Ordos was once a shaman of the Yaungol who sacrificed himself to the flame, following the promises of the Fire Lords, in order to become a demigod. His flesh is eternally seared with fires, putting him in endless agony. Yaungol Fire-Keepers ritualistically set themselves ablaze to emulate the ascension of Ordos, and cast enchantments and prayers to ease his pain.
wow this looks so cool. im already liking the new zone
proof that you cant keep people out "The following screenshots were taken with a Hunter's Eagle Eye on the PTR, as the island currently ports people away:"
I dunno, it looks too much like Jade Forest so far, and eerily empty, even for a PTR phase. We'll have to see how the dailies(?) there will turn out.I have the suspicion that the legendary questline might involve a pet battle :P
I'm not much of a pet battle fan, but this zone and the pets look really nice, might give it a shot :)
It's an island off the southeast coast of the Jade Forest, so makes sense it would look pretty similar.I remember back in the early 5.2 PTR, queueing up for a scenario took me to an instanced form of Isle of Thunder. The scenario was bugged and couldn't be completed, but I could run around the complete island. The screenshots I took weren't as detailed as the live version of Isle of Thunder, so I'm assuming we'll also be seeing some more details on the Timeless Isle as the PTR progresses.
There's a few typos on the Xuen quote page.
Wow, 5 new world bosses! Hope that means they will continue having at least one who drops 2 T16 Normal pieces... and that they do NOT make the same mistake they did w/Oondasta.OTOH, why am I going to be fighting them all when I'm Exalted with their respective factions?
The Dungeon Journal test refers to the Celestial encounters as trials that are tied to different character traits, so perhaps the Celestials encourage you to fight them as part of your training.
MUST...HAVE.... ASPECT PETS!
You fight against the celestials as training, so that we can clear up the mess we made of the vale of eternal... now sorrow
Holy crap, that's a lot of damage in those abilities! Can't wait to see what the mitigation strategies are. Looks like it continues the trend of "ridiculously complicated" encounters!
Anyone else noticed that the description of Aspect of Yu'lon says
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
these bosses sound like they are going to be worse then oondasta
Gotta like the hunter's eagle eye. It was how I could have a look around as well. Course finding the right spots that wouldn't get me ported away was something. Has anyone tried using a Scrying Roguestone ?
