This one has a pretty high Ilevel, is it correct?

What does it proc of?
It does
not
proc of special abilities done with the other equipped weapon (e.g.
Shiv
for Rogues).
It does
not
proc of Main Gauche (Combat Rogue Mastery).
It does
not
proc of auto-attacks of the other equipped weapon (off-hand in the case of rogues).
It only procs of its own auto-attacks and special abilities done with this weapon.
Information about the proc
The proc chance is estimated at 6.5%.
The proc chance is 33% for the Shadow/Fire/Frost variations.
The proc can crit at 150% damage.
The Fire and Frost variatons scale with Enhancement Shaman's mastery.
All procs scale with Combat Rogue's Bandit's Guile.

now i wish instead of shadow damage it was: frost, fire, and nature damage, just so it would benefit enhancement shamans and combat rogues further

I would be very surprised if this isn't BiS for Frost DK's as well. Maxdps lists the tank healing 1h as bis and this isn't even on the list for dk's which it lists the other AGI 1h's dunno why they didn't run this one.
Even without the proc having a 33% to get amp'ed as frost dmg. I'd think it has to make up the str loss over the damage the 1.7% hp hit does from the tank 1h. Plus if it's dual wielded Threat of Thassarian talent makes pretty much all their strikes hit with both weapons giving it two chances to proc on strikes.
I dunno maybe I'm crazy, but I think a lot of shamans are going to get annoyed at DK's rolling on this. But I'm pretty sure it's BiS for them as well.

@ Ciaossu. It's not that I think you are crazy, but I don't think you have any idea what BiS means. It's not about what other weapons are available, it's about what does the most DPS, hence BiS.
Souldrinker
may provide more STR, which translates into 220 more AP than
No'Kaled, the Elements of Death
. However, the damage based off of
No'Kaled, the Elements of Death
outweighs the extra AP and proc damage off of
Souldrinker
. Downrate if you like, but it's BiS for more than just shammies and rogues.
Edit 12/17
For SMF warriors, procs scale with Death Wish and Enrage.
Souldrinker
procs do not scale and are the set proc indicated on weapon.
Edit 01/06
In response to Thehuntard, you are right in the fact that
Souldrinker
provides more STR, which provides more AP. What you are forgetting is that AGI provides 1AP per point. So, the gain is not as much as you say. Secondly, the reason why it is BiS is the higher weapon damage, the fact the proc scales and provides a higher percentage of damage than the gain in AP and Crit/Mastery/Hit from Hand of Morchok and better than the extra AP and Proc off of
Souldrinker
. So, again, if you don't like the fact that this weapon provides higher dps than other options for the level (Heroic Hand of Morchok>No'kaled>Normal Hand of Morchok>Souldrinker) then that's fine. But back up statements on overall dps by looking at the whole picture, use of simcraft/rawr/landsoul's spreadsheet. Even go to Askmrrobot.com, shows as BiS. I'm not just making assumptions, I'm stating what I can prove. As you forgot that AGI does provide AP to us, and that AGI receives all but 5% buff from armor specialization, you forget the fact that AGI provides crit as well, which is best secondary stats. Please don't forget that in simulations as well. Thanks again huntard.

The argument about it being a BiS item for strength classes is a bit silly because, guess who else it is BiS for....Enh Shaman and Combat Rogues...Giving priority on this to a DK/SMF Warrior over an Enh Shaman/Combat Rogue would be like giving priority to the latter two over the former on an item like Souldrinker. It may be an upgrade for what the Sham/Rogue currently have, but a DK/Warrior can get a lot more out of it.
I have no doubt that this is a very good weapon for DK/Warriors...it is no doubt much better for Rogue/Shaman classes so it should be given to those two before strength classes, however, I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances where it might be slightly better to give to a Warrior/DK. In general, agility weapons are for agility classes...they will get the most out of it in most cases.

Anyone one else notice that the normal version benefits more from a stats and shaman mastery then the LFR and Heroic version.

I got this on my enhance the first time i killed Deathwing and all i can say is OMFG THAT WEAPON IS DEFINATELY THE SHAMMY BIS ! The prock chance might not be that high but it is high enough to boost anyone's DPS by quite a lot.It does lack stats but that bonus evens out things and tbh i prefer a a prock bonus because Windfury is also a prock and it makes things more fun :P

I was wondering if this weapon would be better for a Combat Rogue's Main Hand instead of
Fear
mainly for the increased damage from
Main Gauche
and the further increased damage from
Sinister Strike
paired with
Improved Sinister Strike
,
Aggression
, and
Lethality
. The only thing I'm wondering is if
Fear's
bonus effect of +45% damage with
Sinister Strike
and
Revealing Strike
would make the dagger hit harder than
No'Kaled
just from the increased damage from the two abilities above, which are Combat's main combo builder attacks. The Off Hand would of course remain
Vengeance
. The 100 agility isn't really much to cause a drastic increase or decrease in damage, which I only found stayed at 50 stacks on
Madness of Deathwing
. Any help would be much appreciated. ^_^

I've seen a lot of debate for this topic, but this is BiS for Death Knights, there is no question about it. It's almost a .5% dps increase over using soul drinker for both MasterFrost and HasteFrost.
simulationcraft(dot)org /430/DK_DW_Weapon_Comparison(dot)html
Please stop rating down posts that claim this is BiS, because it is.
Now should a DK get it over a rogue/shaman? I would debate no, but that's not my decision, this is for informational purposes only and if a raid leader wants to maximize his raids dps, he's going to want objective information.
