Personally, I will be looking forward to Reckboom, or Mirrorboom. This is a beta, and the abilities may change.
Update 12/04: Few edits. Seems like recklessness has been removed. What a shame.
Update 18/04: More edits. Something really cool is Growl for Rogues. This taunts the target to attack you, and increases your armor by 330% for 30 seconds. Balance druids get 'Super-Barkskin' in the form of Unending Resolve. Guardian get Life Tap in the form of an old-style Bloodrage, and Wrath Shield has been renamed to the original Lightning Shield. Feral get some sort of Colossus Smash, and Restoration remains mostly unchanged. Retribution Paladins no longer get Berserk, and have a current Cleanse ability. DPS Warriors get Stampeding Shout instead of Enrage, which is arguably a cooler ability.

Symbiosis removed, Survival Instincts buffed and given to all druid specializations to compensate.

General information about Symbiosis

Can be cast on a single non-druid party/raid member only.
The spell remains active for 1 hour, until either of the linked players switch zones or leaves the party/raid or until it is cast on a different player. The buff cannot be removed by the receiving player or be dispelled/stolen.
Non-druids have an entry for Symbiosis in their spellbook that can be placed on an actionbar and is used to activate the ability they receive from Symbiosis.
Abilities granted through Symbiosis can differ substantially from their originals, like Growl increasing survivability.

That is a messed up trade-off for Shadow Priests. If my SP gets Tranquility, it had better damn well be castable in shadowform.
Not that I should be healing as Shadow anyway.

IMO this just screws over resto druids. None of the abilities I can get from symbiosis seem all that useful. In every single trade-off it seems like the other person is getting a really amazing ability, whereas the resto druid basically gets #$%^. I can see trading off with the holy pally in my group so they get rebirth just in case I die and there's a situation where I need to be brezzed, but what does that leave me with? Cleanse? Whoop-de-doo, I already have Remove Corruption which does the exact same thing.

Or since we have another resto druid in our raid (poor raid composition, 3 pallies, 2 warriors, 2 druids jesus), we could give our shadow priest tranquility, but what does that really give our other druid, Leap of Faith? An ability that's basically entirely useless in my opinion, since its use is entirely avoidable if people just move out of fire.

I really hope there will be some changes made to symbiosis before Pandaria releases, because I am not at all excited for any of the resto druid changes. I mean, removing Efflorescence and putting in Wild Mushroom: Bloom? I hate the Mushrooms they gave balance druids, why would I want them in my resto spec?

I like this spell, in a few cituations it can be handy. Feral with death coil? Blood with another tanking Cd that revolves around hp? Good mix! Resto with cleanse and retri with wrath for those ranged moment? Wonderful mix! Was looking for a good mix for locks though but locks kinda give cruddy stuff to druids unless it's pvp but still...

Even though some of the spells given to the other classes might not make any sense to some players. As a druid, I'm looking for to this since it looks like fun and might be really useful.

So let me get this right...

A hunter gets Stampede at 87 (Unleashes all pets for 20 seconds causing 175% damage). A warlock gets both Demonic Gateway at 87 (Create a demonic gateway between two locations. Stepping into the gateway causes any party member to be transported to the other gateway) AND Pandemic at 90 (When refreshing your periodic damaging effects, duration remaining on the previous effect is added to the new one, up to a maximum of 50% of the base duration). Druids get Symbiosis at 87 (Creates a symbiotic link which grants the druid one ability belonging to the target's class, varying by the Druid's specialization. Also grants the target one Druid ability based on their class and combat role). This sounds amazing at first glance, however, when you look at it, it's a HUGE disappointment. Example, you have a Warlock in your group who gets "Rejuvenation", a healing over time spell, and you get his teleport spell. Wait Blizzard, you're telling me that my big spell is that I get to use something that I can already use when I'm in his party? How unimpressive is this? That's my big MoP spell? Or what about a priest in the group, who gets a HUGE healing spell of tranquility if they are shadow, and I get Leap of Faith? Another huge disappointment. What about the hunter, they get dash, which is kind of cool for them to get away from mobs, but useless in PvE if they play their class correctly. What does a Resto druid get from the hunter in return? Deterrence (reduces chance for mobs to hit for 5 seconds). Wait, I don't even get the effect of having damage done to me reduced like the hunter? I only get part of this? What use is this for raiding? I don't really see anything here as a restoration druid raiding that is much use if playing the class the way they need to be played.

Where is our spell? Great, we can give some pretty nice things away, but what do we get in return? The ability to give away some nice spells we have and pick up garbage from another class.

Either let us pick some more useful spells or give us a completely different spell to learn between 85 and 90.

I have a couple questions.

1. Does this spell only work with other player characters, or can it be used in pve on monsters, hunter/dk/warlock pets, or say random animals out in the wild?

2. If it can be used on anything would it have great synergy with ?

3. Do woodland critters even have classes?

4. Did they fix that glyph so the critters follow you?

Any player can grant themselves the spells provided by Symbiosis (without having it cast by a Druid) by instead using the item Overgrown Lilypad. The item is on a 1 hour cooldown, is reusable, and provides the buff for 1 hour.

Overgrown Lilypad is only usable in outdoor areas of Pandaria. It is dropped by a rare level 86 mob Sele'na in the in the marshes of New Cifera in the Valley of the Four Winds.

I felt so powerfull as a proud Goblin Shaman Healer with my new Prowl skill.... it changes so much the way i use my skills in combat... warriors should use too...i mean... every other class should make a choice to use prowl....i do believe everyone would use it...
Really blizz? i mean...it's impossible to use it in any combat.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to put a 30 min CD on this skill and let it give a random skill?
Another one i didn't get was the one for priests.... the DPS priest get the healing spell... and the healer Priest get a CC? is this some kind of PVP skill? please remember that there are people that like PVE...

At first this looks awesome. Then you read what you can get and it looks terrible. Then you really read it and you see there is some awesome stuff. Then you use it and it's terrible. THEN you figure out who to use it on and for what fights, and it can save a raid. I like using it on shadow priests because it gives me leap of faith and they get tranquility. Last night it saved us when the healers didn't have enough aoe heals on Feng, so when he used epicenter we were all around 10% and the priest tranqs saving us, then later this guy who is doing decent dps just keeps ignoring wildfire spark, so I just run to the side for him, saving all the ranged dps. Both of those times we would have wiped, but that one spell saved us.

Hybrids who change their specs and don't want to have different macro for each spec, can just make one:

/cast Symbiosis
When a druid casts Symbiosis on you, the spell and icon will change based on which spec you are in.

To sum up:

* The item has a 20% chance to drop and drops from Sele'na, a rare spawn in the Valley of the Four Winds
* The buff is kept as long as you do not zone out of Pandaria or into an instance / raid / battle ground / arena or respecc
* The buff stays through death
* Abilities gained from this item scale with your primary stats

If you are setting up your UI and want a quick way of placing Symbiosis without searching for a Druid, just make a macro with:

#showtooltip Symbiosis
/cast symbiosis

And place it on your hotbars! =)

It works wonders when you log on MoP for the first time, and got 11 classes with 22UI/specs total that need editing :P

Growl is actually surprisingly useful to help tanks. All a Rogue has to do is to use Tricks of the Trade on the tank first, then hit the boss. *all actions for 6 seconds afterwords* includes the taunt from Growl.

All Threat generated by Growl immediately goes to the tank who gets the 15% damage buff, and the rogue gets a defensive buff. everyone wins lol ^_^

the rogue and the tank DO have to work together a little to make it work, however. the last thing a rogue should do is buff a tank, tap the boss, then growl when that tank is trying to drop stacks or something. done right, however, and its like the tank getting a taunt that isn't on his/her global CD.

they do think this stuff through, although its uses may not seem apparent at first glance

I had a balance druid used symbiosis on a hunter and he got misdirection from it. We were trolled on Malkorok for about 10 pulls before we figured it out. This came after wrongfully kicking a rogue and accusing all of the hunters in the group.
