If you ask me, Void Hound would make much more sense for Felhunter replacement.
But a Beholder is just as cool!

The tooltip says it replaces the existing demons; does this mean you can't use them at all unless you unlearn the Grimoire talent?

Do the new minions retain your old minions' names? Or are they considered completely different demons?

I really wish It would say "transforms your normal demons into more powerful minions" rather than "replaces your normal demons". Replacing my current minions makes me kinda sad :'(

Differences Between Original and Supremacy Demons

supremacy demons have about a third more health and, as the tooltip says, deal 20% more damage.

in addition, the following abilities are changed:
Imp/Fel Imp - Singe Magic changes to Sear Magic. rather than dispelling a single person, dispels up to 3 people in an area. you'll get a targeting reticule like with Mass Dispel.
Voidwalker/Voidlord - Shadow Shield changes to Void Shield, reducing all damage taken instead of just physical.
Felhunter/Beholder - Spell Lock changes to Optical Blast. adds a damage component to the usual counterspell.
Succubus/Shivarra - Seduction changes to Mesmerize, increasing the amount of mob types that can be cc'd.
Felguard/Wrathguard - Legion Strike changes to Mortal Cleave, increasing the basic attack's weapon damage by 65% and the healing debuff by 15%.
Doomguard/Terrorguard - someone comment if i'm wrong, but so far the only difference i see is that the terrorguard costs less mana to summon.
Infernal/Abyssal - same mana cost reduction as doomguard/terrorguard.

despite how powerful the new demons are, this isn't necessarily one of those talents that every warlock is required to take for raiding. immediately post-patch, grimoire of service is already proving to be a better choice for demo, and sacrifice is preferable for aff or for any time that micromanaging a pet is undesirable. surely, these priorities will change many times over the course of mop. the only supremacy demon i would say is definitely better than the original is the voidlord, whose extra health and damage reduction are superior for tanking.

I must admit, though I initially welcomed the thought of updated demon models, I'm reluctant to replace my beloved Felhunter I've used for 7, going on 8 years. Truly, I wish there was a minor glyph that allowed you to benefit from this talent while allowing you to retain your old demon models.

I wish we could go back to the old ways and hunt down certain items to summon a demon, then bind it. Maybe we could use Archaeology to dig up ancient demonic artifacts from specific wars! We could research events in the library to find areas that only Warlocks can excavate.

Grimoire of Supremacy replaces Warlock's normal demons with more powerful demons,
they deal 20% additional damage & have more powerful abilities:

Singe Magic to Sear Magic (area dispel rather than single target)

Summon Voidwalker to Summon Voidlord:

Shadow Shield to Void Shield (reduce all types of damage rather than just physical)

Summon Succubus to Summon Shivarra:

two-handed to Dual Wield
Lash of Pain to Bladedance
Whiplash to Fellash (Command Demon)
Seduction to Mesmerize (works against Beast, Dragonkin, Giant, Mechanical and Undead in addition to Humanoid)

Summon Felhunter to Summon Observer:

Shadow Bite to Tongue Lash
Spell Lock to Optical Blast (Command Demon)
Devour Magic to Clone Magic (steal the magic buff rather than dispelling it)

Summon Felguard to Summon Wrathguard (Demonology Warlock only):

two-handed to Dual Wield
Felstorm to Wrathstorm (Command Demon)
Legion Strike to Mortal Cleave (healing suppressing effect increased by 15%)

This grimoire was developed by Jubeka Shadowbreaker, a demonologist and member of the Council of the Black Harvest, based on research she conducted in Outland.

My research here in this dusty wasteland continues as drudgingly expected. While the Legion's onslaught has subsided, a number of the rare demon specimens remain.

The fel imps of Felspark Ravine in Hellfire are remarkably chatt. I've discovered that they're just as easy to contract into service as their names are to learn. The ritual to summon one is trivial, at best.

Voidlords are rather difficult to stumble across, but it takes very little persuading to convince one to divulge the name of a rival lord.

While examining the nauseating Ruins of farahlon today in Netherstorm, I was ambushed by a race of floating eyeball squids. Calling themselves observers, they were unexpectedly intelligent. They expressed a deep desire to bear witness to all forms of magic and willingly offered their services in exchange for the opportunity to consume new forms of magic.

The ritual to summon an observer is unexpectedly complex. While natives of the great dark beyond, they are highly migratory and the summoning ritual must compensate for their travels. Without their willing assistance, summoning an Observer would be nearly impossible.

Remarkable! My first attempt to summon a higher order member of the legion failed as spectacularly as planned. The shivarra broke free almost instantly after Kanrethad completed his ritual.

The key to binding a wrathguard was ironically reducing the number of runic symbols used in the summoning circle. Wrathguards are highly resistant to charms and compulsions, but readily respond to basic expressions of strength.

I have Grimoire of Supremacy on my talent tree and currently have destruction or demonology but for some reason I can't find the icon that allows me to use the minions, I just keep getting the old demons so how do I fix this?

In case anyone was curious:

No, you can't go destruction which is a million times more enjoyable to play than demonology and have a real, useful pet, the wrathguard.
