Oh boy, a needless addition to PvP that will infuriate melee classes. Don't expect to be doing random BGs in MoP without at least 8 out of 10 people on the opposite team having this.

Has a 1.5 second cast time. 4 second stun on a 60 second cooldown. Does not put you in combat with the creatures.

In case you were wondering - no, this trinket, as well as the Shado-Pan Dragon Gun, is not good for any practical purpose. 1.5 seconds cast time makes it unfit for a panic button, a bright pink circle makes it unfit for PvP and 809 mastery is a veritable nothing compared to a Ghost Iron Dragonling, which gives 1800 secondary stats of your choice AND a damaging proc.

Why both JP trinkets are vanity items is beyond me...

I have trinkets macroed on main spells, and this trinket is acting strange:

1. it doesn't go off when I spam spells (unlike all other trinkets, including those that are on GCD)
2. if it is on CD, macro breaks

The only purpose effectively is to give a few more gear item level points if you are stuck with something horrible in your trinket slot. Honestly if you don't want anything from the Justice Points vendor to mog and have heirlooms on all your alts, you might want this item to toy with because of the rune effect.

For 1000 JP, you might just buy the stone to upgrade your pet's level to Uncommon though.

Other than these items, I feel like the JP vendor has a bunch of crap you don't need unless you have a very poor iLvl.

I've been trying to upgrade this item at the Item Upgrade vendor and it won't let me. The item is 458 and I have the required currency. Any suggestions?

Despite all the negative comments below, this is actually a very rare example of a trinket that will still be an essential item in future expansion/s if not nerfed. The reason is that its on-use effect lasts through a trinket switch, so you can put down the rune of paralysis before a fight and switch to your main trinket without dps loss. Essentially it gives you a free 4-second stun, invaluable against rare elites, brawlers guild and when soloing dungeon trash (yes it works in instances).

Posters below state it doesn't work in pvp, which is basically true, however, you can cast the red circle even though it doesn't stun anything. That may not sound useful but most players won't know what it is and will avoid it, which can be quite advantageous.

The trinket doesn't work on anything which resists cc eg raid bosses.
