Beer (or other alcohol) is often called "Liquid Courage" because of how it warps perception and lowers inhibitions.

Fitting for a monk (they do use the drunken fist style) to get better at what he does for 15 sec after drinking up :D.
(Yes, I know monks aren't the only tanks, but the idea is there)

Edit: I also know that drunken style isn't actually "fighting drunk", just immitating a drunkard's erratic movements.

Assuming you use it each time it's up, this trinket gives an average of 706 mastery.

Maths (numbers rounded here so I don't have infinite 3s and 6s, but not rounded during calculations):

15/60 = 25% uptime

2822 * 25% = ~706 Mastery

This is an incredible piece of gear for most if not all tanks. With the powerful 2822 mastery use-effect on a relatively low cooldown (15 sec up time and then only 45 seconds cooldown!), it will align with effects like Vampiric Blood (DKs), Barkskin (Druid), Demoralizing Shout (Warrior) etc, further improving its usefulness.

How well does this trinket work with Jade Warlord Figurine

Do they share a cooldown, can they be used simultaneously or does it trigger the normal 30 second cooldown?

The tooltip appears to be incorrect at this time here on Wowhead. The in-game tooltip shows the on-use as granting 3,595 mastery, and I have confirmed that this is the correct amount the trinket yields. Wowhead is showing the on-use mastery as only 2,822. That's a difference of 773.

Based on the actual in-game values, if the trinket is used on cooldown, this trinket will provide approximately 898 mastery. Obviously encounter mechanics play a role in how best to use such a trinket, so using it on cooldown may not be optimal for the situation.

Contrary to what I expected before I got the Jade Warlord Figurine in raid tonight, it and Lao-Chin's Liquid Courage do *not* set each other's cooldowns off. Using one simply triggers a 15s CD on the other (same as the buff's duration) so by having each you can effectively maintain the buff 30 seconds out of every 60.

As a Dk tank, I personally find on-use mastery to be very mediocre. Because it doesn't translate to immediate or noticeable benefit unless you have runes for numerous deathstrikes lined up to benefit from it right away (which in most cases you won't) so effectively you get a very marginal performance boost.

You'd probably just want to macro this to your deathstrike and automatically use it each time it is up rather than timing to use it as a cooldown.

On-use mastery is a lot more useful for other tanks who passively always benefit from extra mastery regardless of what they do.
